A sweetheart for my table

Blessed day have my beautiful people of @Homesolutions, here again, I hope you are well and activated in your homes, for these upcoming Christmas holidays, where it is customary that many of us decorate our homes.

For that we have to do first deep cleaning, renovate or repair some things that we may have out there ugly or deteriorated.

In my house there are several, so, one of them is the dining room set. The table has plywood, a wood covering, that already had a very ugly surface, as you can see in the pictures, as well as the legs of the table, especially the edge or border of the legs.

How is wallpaper being used a lot to make this kind of repairs, where we cover with this material and it looks like new, of course, I bought it?

I had my materials ready, including even a hair dryer, because with the heat I could glue the edges better, but on the way, we found a pleasant surprise.

First we started to clean the whole dining room set, even the chairs, and I will be giving them some love these days, since I will make new covers for them, as reupholstering them is expensive and I can't afford it right now.

When my husband was cleaning the table, he decided to pay for a wire scrubber and all that ugly varnish was removed and it looked like new, finer. We decided to leave it like that and only put the paper around the edges, which still looked ugly.

On the edges I removed the little that was left of the material that covered it. I measured and cut the paper into strips; when I glued it, it peeled off. We put white glue on it and it didn't work.

So I had to buy a silicone to glue it better and, thank God, this did work. Finally I could see a change. Not as big as it would have looked with the paper, but I liked it.

It still has its tablecloth, but when we go to eat, which is often picked up, so it doesn't get dirty, or when I do my crafts, that table looked very ugly, now it looks great.

As I told you, I will also put some new cushion covers and I will also make a nice centerpiece for the table, which I will be showing you soon with God's favor.

Thank you very much for your visit. See you soon, as I am in #Homesolutions mode and I have other things to show you, before the Christmas decorations, which will be many, but with lots of love and enthusiasm for the best time of the year for me and my beautiful family.
