This is in the abandoned old mansion house that was part of a large hospital complex. This building is all that remains and the rest of the land is now new housing.
It was rented in 1919 to provide a ‘mental deficiency colony’ for the mentally handicapped. It was also used during WW2 as a hospital. More info can be found in the link below
