It's that time of the week again when I get to draw a splinterlands character in my style. To be honest, I was a bit confused about what to draw for this round but I chose the Prewatch Devil. First I love horns and I haven't done any digital art with horns in a long time, I've always wanted to draw this card in my style but I felt it would be too hard for me to chose the right pose and actually pull it off the way I want. But then again, art is all about experimenting, practicing and learning from mistakes so here we are...
Process
For details, I started by painting shadows and highlights on her skin, I also added more details and colours to the fire. I then went in with her clothing, it was fast because because I didn't do too much, I put little fire reflections on the long flying scarf too. The horns still looked flat so I added a little bit of red and white and also painted the metal ring on it. I painted more strands and colours on her hair before adding some glow, I put some fire glow on her face, around her eyes, neck, chest and hands with a plain background. Overall I can say I love how the fire looks because I really struggle with it, this card was ready fun to paint and I know this won't be my last attempt, will definitely do it again....
