I've been thinking about adding more colour to my sketchbook. Most of my drawings tend to stay in red and black ink, and while I enjoy that, I want to get more comfortable adding colour in a few places.
Another thing I want to get better at is drawing food. It's one thing to draw a face or a hairstyle, but food has its own little challenges. There's texture, shape, and the question of how to make something look appetising on paper.
This Pasta here is basically a pile of tangled lines. But tangled lines become difficult especially when you intend to make them look like food, you then have to think twice about every strand.
I like that this drawing gives me a chance to work on two things at once: experimenting with colour and practising a subject I don't draw as often.
I don't want to get stuck drawing the same kinds of things all the time. I'd like my sketchbook to have more variety, with colourful pages sitting alongside my usual drawings.
Food seems like a fun place to start because there's so much to explore, different dishes, drinks, snacks, and I want to try them all.
What food should I try drawing next?

Have a lovely day....
