This is my entry to @friendlymoose's photocontest. You can read more about that https://hive.blog/hive-150329/@friendlymoose/pobphotocontest-new-round-whitehere.
I used the original photo as a thumbnail to the short video I made above. Since the chosen subject is white, I then edited the photo to black and white. The mug looks better in black and white.
We went for coffee and dessert at a friend's cafe to kill time. After having a late lunch, we then decided to go for sunset viewing. What a better way to do that but with coffee.
I have already had a cup when we had our lunch at https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@leeart/lwavoyanHoka Brew but one cup is not enough. That was my first cup of the day and I need more plus something sweet.
From Hoka, we took a cab to get to our friend's place. It rained hard that afternoon but then stopped sooner that's why we thought there could be a chance for us to witness a lovely sunset.
This is the scene that greeted us when we arrived. We could see lightning over the horizon from time to time.
Here in this photo you can see the sun heavily covered by the clouds but there is still that small circle of light that is visible.
We were the only customers that time so we have the whole place to ourselves.
My coffee was served first together with the chocolate cake.
I like that the top layer of the cake matches the colors of the roofs of the houses below. What I like about this is that it is not that sweet. It is soft and deliciously good.
Although the coffee lacks the bitterness that I was hoping for, I still enjoyed it. I had to ask for another cup after. What I am drinking at home right now is Kalinga coffee. I like to make the taste bitter so I add more ground coffee when I brew it. I guess I got used to that that's why everything else I taste outside is mild to not that bitter at all.
Sometimes I wonder whether I'm addicted to coffee or just the hot/warm liquid lol!
Anyway, the cake goes well with the coffee. I don't like adding sugar or creamer or milk to my coffee for I have other sources of those anyway like cakes or cookies or biscuits but when I'm at home, it's just usually coffee.
We had a little chat with our friend before we went home. I saw from her post the other day where it showed photos of a spectacular sunset that they had there. For all the times that we have visited, we only had that one time where we had something close to that but the rest of the times that we went there, it was cloudy.
Here are the rest of the photos that I took yesterday.
The last photo was the time that we had the most colors but that's about it. It was already close to 7:00 p.m. when we left.
If you ever had the chance to come visit Baguio City, you might want to consider P&F Estacion de Cafe. They also offer accommodations so you can have a better stay and hopefully experience a great sunset.
