Eres linda y fragante y bastante te cuidas

When you get old. (To a 34 year old lady).

Contemplating your photo of a woman in her thirties,
I notice a lot of splendor in your pure look
and I watch how the fresh spring vibrates
in all formation of your beautiful figure.

You have a long time to reach old age,
But the clock is ticking by
and I am already old and I look at you fresh
I imagine your years wrapped in sunsets.

However, I also know that the time has come
from worrying about logical wrinkles,
because there are some ladies with a sweeping
war against any indication with demagogic creams.

Hopelessly the rude calendar
will wither your body of quiet leaves
and, seeing yourself in the mirror and writing in your diary
helplessly on the neck you scratch.

Time is to decide to be a mother and accept
that youth leaves without returning
while in the silence you start to cry
although publicly you never let yourself be seen.

Barely a turn is approaching forty
and fifty immediate will appear
and the fifty then followed by sixty
that still show freshness if you take care of every action.

But that precipice of the age of an old woman
It is unavoidable in the realization
and on second thought lead a very healthy life
they must sign your life for every occasion.

You are pretty and fragrant and you take care of yourself
to be admired by men in the street,
but your defeated pupils will have to become
and you will no longer think even a detail.

I will no longer be here when you become an old woman,
but I'm going to ask my God that at that age
feel proud showing off in the morning
the perennial smile of conformity.
