The Green View That I May Not See In The Coming Years

There are hectares of farming land in my area that will be extinct in the future. This is one of the rice fields with green views on the side. There are some farmers who are cultivating the land. It is planting time.
I do not like developments that devastate the green area. In fact, many developers and government officials tend to ignore how important the ecosystem is to the preservation of water and food supplies.

This is a megaproject that eats up a lot of farmland. Should industrialization kill the farming land? We should admit that industrialization will make quick money. However, why should we sacrifice food source sectors? Farmers will become unemployed after that. There is not only a changing ecosystem but also a changing social structure with industrialization. In my opinion, the citizens are not ready to face the facts. There will be many indigenous people who lost their source of income and properties. Urban people will invade the area.

From here, farmers produce rice three times a year. Thousands of tons of rice will not be available after the land becomes factories or houses. There are thousands of families that depend on farming. What is the source of income for them then?

Indonesia has millions of hectares of land. There are fertile and infertile ones. Why do the developers choose the infertile lands to build the factories and houses? It is a matter of cost. Hemmm.. money is the reason, I think.
