I am going round in circles about what to do about energy:

• Which supplier? I'm with Ecotricity, which is greener and cheaper per unit than Octopus, but doesn't have lower nighttime rates.
• Nighttime tariffs: Is it worth changing my EV charger so it's compatible with Octopus? What recharge frequency makes it worthwhile? Can I add a timer to my immersion heater?
• Plug-in Solar panels: They're 50% more expensive than originally proposed. It might be worth waiting anyway - "Neither the first nor last uptaker be."
• Batteries: Are they worth the cost? Is it difficult to find a suitable location?
