India is the fastest-growing major economy of the world surpassing China. when the world growth is stagnant, India is just picking up speed.

Currently, India is the 7th largest economy of the world by GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and the third largest by Purchasing Power Parity (PPP)

In simple words, we can say the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is the expenditure on a similar commodity must be same in both currencies when accounted for the exchange rates.

Example of PPP: Lets says a chewing gum cost 1 rupee in India but the same chewing gum cost 10 cents(0.1$) in the US if you convert 10 cents to Indian Rupee it will be equivalent to Rs 6.8

Many experts say that PPP is a better way to estimate economies progress than GDP
