A few years back we had the wonderful opportunity to travel and spend time in Japan. The Golden Pavilion or Kinkakuji is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in Kyoto if not all of Japan. It is truly a sight to be seen. The name Golden Pavilion comes from the Japanese word Kinkakuji which when translated literally means temple of the golden pavilion.
