Hello, how are you? I never tasted the real pomegranate fruit, only the juice. I don’t think it is available here in the Philippines, and it looks so aesthetically looking so I decided to draw it using oil pastel. I just imagine the crunch after you bite into it and then the juice spreading around the mouth. LOL
Materials I Used:
- Paper
- Oil Pastels
- Tissue
- Scratching Tool
Craft Time!
Prepare all the material in one place, and then I draw the line art using dark red, just go with the flow.
Then I added the base color by lightly layering the drawing. And then for this part, I decided to do it one by one, but after this, I decided to just do it all at the same time LOL.
To avoid color being muddy, to darken the part that needed to be darkened, I complemented the color I used.
I am doubting if I am going to use yellow as a background, so I just colored a little part of it LOL.
So I finally decided to use the yellow, and I did the right thing. Then, using this clay tool to add texture to the drawing.
I really like how it turns out, and Crayola is really a good oil pastel. I hope they have more color variations. But my problem is that my Pentel oil pastels have a problem blending with them.
I hope you like it. Do you like pomegranate?
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
