Following Ahti's vision toward the NSC Coolant Pumps, I battled heavy damage from mold organisms, wall traps, and Hiss entities. After several deaths, I sprinted straight into the Oceanview Motel, where I solved a puzzle involving radio switches across rooms to unblock a door and retrieve a key.
Following Ahti’s strange vision toward the NSC Coolant Pumps, I continued down the corridors, sensing I was getting close to my objective.
Turning the corner, I discovered that the toxic mold infestation had completely overtaken this sector. The environment was crawling with mold organisms, while floating, corrupted bodies hung in mid-air, threatening to transform into active Hiss entities at any moment.
Equipped with my telekinesis ability, I began hurling objects at the mold nodes to clear a path. Descending the stairs into the lower level, I realized the infection was even worse, and my health bar went down instantly.
Before I could react, the heavy damage sent me straight to a death screen.
Spawning back at the checkpoint, I made another attempt, only to die quickly a second time.
Analyzing the chaos, I realized it wasn't just the mold organisms or their foul poison breath cutting me down; it was proximity-based fungal emitters attached to the concrete walls firing hyper-aggressive spikes.
Recognizing my current approach wasn't working, I adjusted my strategy for the next run. I backed up across the room, following Ahti's mental trail to the far side where the mold couldn't reach me, using the distance to pick off targets from afar.
Unfortunately, heavily armed Hiss guards spawned alongside the mold, flooding the chamber with high-caliber gunfire.
Catching a glimpse of the pull-cord light switch needed to transport me to the Oceanview Motel, I made a desperate break for it under heavy fire, but the combined damage took me down just inches from the cord.
Realizing standard combat was a losing battle, I decided on a sprint strategy for the restart, where I'd hit the switch instantly, hoping the enemies would despawn upon my return.
The gamble paid off, and I instantly shifted out of the corrupted maintenance wing into the eerie, quiet hallway of the Oceanview Motel. Stepping up to the front desk, I rang the service bell to trigger the puzzle mechanics.
Inspecting the guest rooms, I discovered several vintage radios resting on tables, a complete departure from previous motel visits.
Testing the doors, I found one primary room blocked by a thick, dark portal entity.
After turning on the matching radios across two separate rooms to align the puzzle state, the dark barrier dissolved, allowing me to step inside the room and collect a key from a desk.
