I fast-traveled to Central Research to locate the Slide Projector in Dimensional Research. Facing floating Hiss entities, I used an elevated cover spot to pick off a grenade launcher. After surviving multiple reinforcement waves and a powerful enemy, I cleared the floor despite critically low health.
I needed to search for the Slide Projector in Dimensional Research, so I returned to the Executive Sector to fast-travel straight to Central Research. As soon as I arrived, creepy noises echoed through the halls, and I spotted people floating ominously in the air.
The path leading into the area was heavily infested with Hiss entities. I initiated the engagement from a hidden cover position by firing a powerful round into a heavy Hiss soldier.
Recognizing that the heavy unit was armed with a grenade launcher, I prioritized eliminating him before advancing into the open room.
The structural cover I chose proved exceptionally effective, preventing the grenade launcher's explosive rounds from landing directly on my position.
Though the explosives tore apart the concrete walls around me and a few stray bullets grazed my health bar, my new weapon system allowed me to deal far greater damage in return.
However, I accidentally slipped out of my safe spot during the firefight and nearly got pinned down. I scrambled back up to the elevated cover before the incoming force could overwhelm me, especially as a massive wave of enemy reinforcements entered the room.
My vantage point protected me from direct grenade impacts, allowing me to use my launch ability to snag an enemy's body and hurl it into another soldier. Soon after, a new wave spawned alongside a special floating enemy bound to a chair with its head covered.
This creature posed an immediate threat, hurling telekinetic projectiles that could bypass my cover and inflict severe damage.
My bullet attacks barely dented its defenses, but I managed to destroy the floating enemy instantly by hurling a heavy projectile back at it.
With my health depleted to near-fatal levels, I carefully eliminated a single remaining Hiss soldier, only to realize I had missed another enemy lining up a shot from a dark corner.
Knowing a single hit would kill me, I moved cautiously and took down the sniper. Clearing the last target brought quiet back to the floor, proving that my chosen safe zone had worked like a charm.
