Jack hopped up in the truck. Anxiously looking at her and the road. Head swiveling back and forth. Back and forth. She wasn’t quite sure where the sound had came from but Ole Jack knew.
Down the road she drove until Bark, bark, bark! Bark, bark, bark!
“Where Jack?” she asked, pulling off the road. Whoosh! He bounded to the bank of a deep ditch filled with tall weeds. Bark, bark, bark! Bark, bark, bark!
She peered down the embankment. “I don’t see anything Jack.”
Bark, bark, bark! Bark, bark, bark!
Faintly she heard in response, “mew?”
