The Creation.

Like most things, the beginning has always been explained differently even though everyone agrees that it all started with the Creation.

This was the creation of Eternia itself and all the realms that ever existed, lived and died there; The Island, The Tower, The Realms of Naught, and all its infinite dimensions, parallel worlds and realities – including the realms that never existed and couldn’t exist even in dreams. The dimensions, the realms, the laws and the whole Eternia itself, was created, governed, managed and traversed by Lord Eternia who was an absolute being, fragmented into infinite pieces, and yet ultimately whole.

He created all the physical laws, the natural laws, the social laws and the moral laws, and more importantly, he created the ‘lives’, the souls of all who ever lived or would live on this magnificent creation. No one was aware that eternity was already ‘alive’.

It had no ‘beginning’ and no ‘end’, but it was always aware of itself.

Even inanimate objects were alive. The rocks, the waterfalls, the raging rivers, the blazing hot volcanoes and the yet to be born oceans and seas, they were all alive and conscious of themselves. They lived their lives, observed themselves and reported back to the myriad souls around them. The living trees, the birds and the reptiles weren’t aware of their existence but that doesn’t mean they weren’t conscious of their existence. The minerals too, were conscious of themselves but it is doubtful if they had any self-awareness or thought about things like ‘having a will’ and ‘confronting the Creator’.

Whatever is outside the realms of Eternia itself, was created and controlled by the Lord Eternia himself. The numerous dimensions that exist outside Eternia, are purely different manifestations of Eternia itself. Normal people call these dimensions as ‘planes’, ‘realms’ or ‘realities’ and they too, are created and governed by the Lord Eternia himself. Strangely, when they leave Eternia, their reality changes and when they enter another reality, their reality changes yet again. Since their ‘life’ was limited to the realm they lived in and since they were created and controlled by the Lord Eternia himself, they had little or no memory of their lives except for brief flashes of memory that would stay with them for long.

That’s the short and short version of the story of the creation of Eternia and the realms of Eternia.

A long time after the events of the creation, came the ‘Post-creation phase’ in which new and ‘awesomely powerful’ things, were created.

This was when the most powerful wizard who ever lived was created. Some say that she was also ‘created’ by the Lord Eternia himself. On the other hand, others believe that she was created by or evolved by the Earth’s soil, in which she evolved.

To understand the significance of this creation, one must understand the power of the Lord Eternia and the power of this special being.

The Lord Eternia, had no direct power over the Physical laws, Natural laws or social laws, but he had extreme power over the souls of Eternia. He had absolute power over the all the realms and the countless realms of the endless multifarious dimensions of Eternia beyond its own. He controlled the ‘all’ with his infinite power. This meant that he had no direct power over the physical creation of billions of universes and dimensions of worlds that he had created and allowed to evolve. He controlled them all with his power.

He controlled everything in Eternia, but he did not control himself or his own soul, because he was fragmented into infinite pieces.

In essence, he controlled everything and everything obeyed his will; the planets, the stars, the sun, the moon, the untold number of galaxies and all the infinitely many universes and dimensions beyond them, obeyed his will.

The question was, although he controlled everything with his power, did he have the power to create something that he did not have direct power over, like the ability to control himself or his own soul?

This was the reason why he chose the most powerful wizard who ever lived, Merlina, to be charged with this important task.

Merlina was meant to control herself by controlling her own soul and her own destiny.
