The command ship, the largest in the fleet had just docked, and was a sight to behold. It was covered in pipes and cables, and had an immense waiting area, known as the docking bay for vessels. It had a large door on the side of the ship, which lead into an area known as Central Command. The ship was said to dwarf the largest of the Imperium’s ships, and was also known for its awe-inspiring brute force when it was in the middle of a conflict.
The battle-cruiser had towed in many smaller vessels, and the smaller vessels docked into large ports in the command ship. It slowly started to fill the command vessel, and was about to hit the limit of 350,000 ships, that was the capacity of the command vessel. This was just a fraction of the Imperium fleet, as the battle-cruiser had to tow in many vessels. The battle-cruiser itself carried a crew of ten thousand, and was known for its massive crew and its mighty weapons.
The smaller ships slowly docked, and the command ship slowly filled. The Imperium fleet was in high alert, because of the battle-cruiser’s sudden arrival.
The command ship had returned from the Federation, after reporting about their history. Mullins had also visited, with his friend Mullins, and came back with a broken arm, and bruises, because of Mullins getting into a fight with a member of the aristocracy. The Imperium fleet had escorted the battleship to a planet, that had a promised but faulty flux drive, and began to repair the ship there.
The repairs, only took a few weeks, but were much longer than expected. The repairs continued for a few months, and the ship was as good as new. The Imperium decided to war with the Federation, on the basis that the colony was now a prison. The battle-cruiser had returned to the fleet a few days later, and an unknown fleet had started a war with the Imperium.
The battle-cruiser had to dock in the command ship, as the smaller vessels could not dock in the large space available, with the docking ports. The crew got ready, as they prepared for the battle. The soldiers were readying their rifles, and were slowly moving towards the hangars, and the crew were preparing their many weapons. The crew of the command ship were ready for a war, but still had hope, that somehow they could win.
The battleship began to reach the capacity of the main docking port. It was a difficult process, as the docking port could only take ten thousand ships, and now that it was filled with ten thousand, the dock could close. They were aware that the hangars had to be opened, but the command ship’s captain refused to open the hangars, for fear of the enemy fleet, reaching the command ship before the hangars finished opening.
The soldiers were slowly filling the hangars, and they looked at the other soldiers, as they were about to die. The crew themselves were worried, as they were about to lose their life. The Imperium itself was fractured, and the government was in the process of falling apart. The soldiers were given their orders, and then filled the remaining ten thousand ships, and the docking port slowly closed.
The docking port of the command ship was now closed, and could not open any more. The crew were ready to open the hangars, but still had to wait a few minutes. The docking port could not open until every ship had filled every hangar, and all the ships, had left the dock. It would take five minutes to open the hangars, and they had thirty more seconds. The crew got ready, as they had ten more seconds. The crew were waiting, as they had three seconds. The crew were waiting, as they had one second.
The hangar doors opened, and many soldiers rushed through the doors, but then they were destroyed by the enemy fleet. The soldiers all rushed towards the enemy fleet, and the crew rushed towards the soldiers. The soldiers all fought the standing enemy army, which began to push the crew back into the hangar doors. The crew were killed, but they were able to reach the hangar doors. The ships opened, and they escaped, with their lives.
The command ship was floating above the hostiles, and the crew were watching, as so many starships were destroyed. Thousands of enemy ships crashed, and destroyed many of the ships in the enemy fleet, and the enemy fleet had collasped, the enemy fleet lost, the enemy fleet destroyed. The crew were still alive, and survived.
The battle was over, and the command ship had survived.
