At a speed of more than 1000 km / h, a "hyperloop" is possible - the transport of people and freight through tubes.

Developers in the US are now reporting a success: for the first time, such a transport capsule was on the move. Only for five seconds - and at only 112 km / h. But the test was not about the speed, but about creating a complete vacuum in the tube. This is decisive because only in this way is the air resistance as low as in space - and only in this way is a speed of more than 1000 km / h imaginable.

In the future, the Hyperloop capsules could transport people and freight between larger cities. Such a tube-mail trip between Hamburg and Munich would not even take an hour.
