This year I was at FOSDEM and... didn't see so much. It was INCREDIBLY crowded this year. But I was there for the one thing I really wanted to be at: the State of Go talk by Francesc Campoy.
And now it's there: Go 1.10 is officially out. What is the best thing about it? It's very very stable, no API changes, GC speed is about as good as it gets. Compilation should be a bit faster on bigger projects because of caching.
But I am incredibly happy, because this programming language enables me to actually get things done.
