This is my participation in this invites you to write about "The power of slowness"., with a subject that has a lot of fabric to tell, yes I wrote tell, because each one cuts that fabric in his best way to tell what he thinks about "The power of slowness"

“Don't run, go slowly, always go to where you have to go is to yourself”.

The slowness seemed to me a waste of time that happens when one is still young, but the best thing about being young is to be able to receive advice in time within our momentum, receive advice in time and really put it into practice makes a big difference in our lives, because we realize that following advice from wise people, always brings good benefits.

That phrase with which I began my publication I do not know who it is or who wrote it, but I can tell you that my grandfather told it to me many years ago, I think it was one of the last pieces of advice he gave me when I was about 17 years old long before I went to live in Caracas, as he knew very well how life was in Caracas. He told me son, "Don't run, go slowly, always where you have to go is to yourself ”.

Okay, I must clarify in principle at my young age, I honestly did not know what he wanted to tell me, but as my grandfather always gave me very good advice and always in parables, I started to analyze that parable but some time after I was living in Caracas, and if you have ever lived in Caracas you will realize that life in the capital is a single corridor, a running, not walking, literally people are running and that is the point, I analyzed that parable and I always associated it with precisely that corridor, until I realized that it was not the way I had assumed it to be.

It is precisely that runner that we have in our life that we do not realize the little things that make us happy, and that is happiness is where one always has to go, when one is running in and through our lives, it is like going on a road that has very little visibility due to the fog, you only focus on what you have in front and you can see the road, but very distorted, so is running.

The real point is in how we can slow down that race to go slower, to be able to get to oneself, unfortunately for some we begin to discover that when we have a personal event that makes us change our way of seeing life, that is when we begin to slow down and appreciate our surroundings “Don't run, In a few words, and this is how I understood it after having many strokes in life, is that always, always everything we do in our life, in some way will always be for our own welfare, and what is the use of running if we do not have welfare and that is not having happiness, and having happiness is to have oneself.

So I recommend you that “Do not run, go slowly that always where you have to go is to yourself”.
