I went to check on the cats and found them very scattered; they weren't in their shelter. This time they were wandering around in places that few people frequent, and today they even ventured into the hallways and the areas where visitors exercise. I think they were looking for something cooler, since the heat has been intense lately. It rains occasionally, but it's not enough.

Me tocó visitar a los mininos y los encontré muy dispersos; no estaban en su refugio. Esta vez merodearon los lugares que pocos frecuentan y hoy se atrevieron a explorar en los pasillos y en los lugares donde practican ejercicios los visitantes. Creo que estaban buscando algo más fresco, ya que el calor es severo en estos días. De vez en cuando llueve, pero no es suficiente.

Since I've been coming to the park more often, I've been able to spend more time with them; I enjoy watching them run around. This beautiful Siamese cat is very sociable; he always seeks out people's company, and his favorite spots are where visitors exercise; he also loves to explore. When he's comfortable, he stays put.

Como he venido más seguido al parque, he podido estar más en contacto con ellos; disfruto verlos corretear. This park offers them comfort; they are free. At first, they were cautious; the presence of any danger, noises, approaching people, and even other animals disturbed them. Unlike the younger ones, who, growing up in this environment, are more active, becoming more skillful and sociable and adapting quickly, the older ones, who have suffered abandonment, usually need more time to adapt to the environment and to people; they need more security.

Este parque les ofrece las comodidades; están libres. En un principio se mostraban cautelosos; ante la presencia de algún peligro, ante los ruidos y las personas que se acercaban, e incluso ante otros animales, todo esto los perturbaba. A diferencia de los más pequeños, que, al crecer en este medio ambiente, se muestran más activos, en su desarrollo se vuelven más habilidosos y sociables y se adaptan rápidamente. Los más grandes que han sufrido abandonos suelen necesitar más tiempo para adaptarse al mismo ambiente y a las personas, necesitan más seguridad.

I believe that in this case it depends on us, by providing them with food, water, and care. Little by little they begin to socialize; as they interact with people and with each other, a climate of trust develops. They also use their natural senses, such as smell, hearing, and sight, to find safe places where they can rest or escape from prey; the adaptation is gradual.

Creo que en este caso depende de nosotros, al procurarle alimento, agua y atención. Poco a poco van relacionándose; a medida que interactúan con las personas y entre ellos mismos, se va creando un clima de confianza. Ellos también utilizan sus mecanismos naturales, como son el olfato, el oído y la vista para buscar lugares seguros, donde puedan descansar o escapar de alguna presa, la adaptación es progresiva.

As I walked by, I came across my little friend with his calico fur. The moment he saw me, he came out of his hiding place to say hello. When we offer them support, they adapt easily to us, not only because of the food but also because of our affectionate gestures. Almost at the park exit, I found this adorable little gift: a tabby kitten. He was hiding in this flowerpot, enjoying a well-deserved rest, or perhaps sheltering from the sun under the green leaves—a very strategic and cool spot.

A mi paso me encontré a mi amiguito con su pelaje calicó, desde que me vio, salió de su espacio para saludar, cuando le damos apoyo fácilmente se adaptan a nosotros no solo por el alimento sin por sus expresiones de cariño. Casi a la salida del parque me encontré con este regalito de lo más tierno este gatito atigrado, estaba escondido en este matero y disfrutando de un merecido descanso o está protegiéndose del sol bajo las hojas verdes, un lugar muy estratégico y fresco.
