It's possible that you might have missed something that ended pretty quickly and likely attracted a significant number of Russian users to Golos. Can't tell exactly, but #ru is a thing for sure.

Furthermore, even though Russian is technically my native language, I don't speak it as well as I should, mainly from lack of practise.

Maybe #ru would be a nice place to implrove your skills onchain, even it is not used that much/correct actually (we try to grow the community this way).
