The emotional tug between wanting to help and not wanting to be taken for granted is real. It’s frustrating when people show so much initial excitement, only to give up the moment things get tough. You gave your time, your energy, your knowledge.. and that’s no small thing. Even if it felt like a waste in the end, it speaks volumes about your character that you still chose to help. I think sometimes the lesson is about how willing we were to give, regardless. You did your part. That's something to be proud of.
