Hello, Hive friends! It’s a pleasure to pop in here again to tell you about the lovely afternoon tea I had with my mother-in-law and her mum. In the afternoons we usually get together as a family to enjoy a cup of coffee, but this time we wanted to do something different. We made some delicious moringa tea.
This was the first time I’d tried moringa, although years ago it became very popular here in Cuba because of all its health benefits. Moringa helps to strengthen the immune system, is good for the digestive system and, according to the World Health Organisation, is considered the greatest discovery of the century in the field of nutrition.
Faced with all that hype, I decided to give it a go. I was surprised to find that not only is it very healthy, but it also tastes delicious. We happily sipped that lovely tea from some beautiful crockery that my mother-in-law kept for special occasions like this.
It was a lovely, cool afternoon. One thing that really cheered us up was that Grandma started dancing, creating a fun and infectious atmosphere. So we had a good laugh, and there was no shortage of funny stories to liven up the moment even more.
That afternoon, everything went perfectly; even the charcoal for making the tea lit faster than ever. I think we’re becoming proper experts at this. To go with the tea, we made some bread and also bought a gaseñiga, which was absolutely delicious and went perfectly with the tea we were sharing as a family. Best wishes to you all. See you next time!
