Hello Hive. It's been a while since I participated in Three Tunes Tuesday, not because I've not been listening to songs but because life got in the way. It happens! You'll have to cut this mother of two a slack sometimes. 😁
So last week, I met with a friend and we spent time catching up. One of the activities we both love and have in common is listening to songs. She played some tracks that I'd not heard in a while. I'm thinking, is it possible to know all songs released worldwide? I guess that's the reason for this #ttt initiative by @ablaze! To discover more songs.
My friend played some really cool songs during my once-in-a-blue-moon visit to her place. She's into heart-rending songs (she's a melancholic introvert) so I got some from her collection. The ones I got were those I loved. The lyrics are meaningful, portraying cool feels and messages and the melody is soothing to my soul.
So here goes my three songs selected for this week:
I liked this one most among the songs I got from my friend. It was released in September 2014 and I understand the song has been used as soundtracks in some TV series.
It's a sad, breakup song. The singer literally begs his partner to let their relationship and its clusters go. Sometimes when some relationships cannot be salvaged or saved, it's best to let it go as James sings. I love how smoothly and quietly he sings the song. It's a type of song that soothes a person to sleep if he/she isn't going through heartbreak. 😃
This song is the complete opposite of James Bay's song. It's a love song that begs the lover to surrender his/her emotions and heart for their relationship to work. I guess it's an encouragement to a couple trying to make their relationship work. This is something that shouldn't be forced…love should be voluntary and….surrendered.
Natalie's voice is soft and cool as always. It feels like a cool breeze on a hot evening. I love this song.
I've always loved the Jonas Brothers. This one is super cool and reading through the lyrics, I think the message it sends is one of fear and doubt in love. Part of the lyrics says:
It's messing with my head, how I mess with your heart
If you wake up in your bed, alone in the dark
I'm sorry, gotta leave before you love me
Why leave when another wants to love you or fall in love with you? It's fear. My experience is true love does not give room for fear. You either love or don't! Yes, the pain of heartbreak may come, but you handle it and move on because not everyone will love you. So you find that one that will give the world for you and know you are home!
Marshmello and the Jonas Brothers did great with this song. The instruments and beat are what I love about the song. It's one you can also dance to. It's not as heart-rendering as the first two.

Thanks for reading! 🥰
