Hello everyone in the diyhub community. Welcome to my blog . Holiday is almost over and school will resume next week. My daughter asked me to make this friendship band , she will give to her friends as a "welcome back to shool" gift. Without wasting time lets start with the procedure.
Materials used;
Yarn (any color of your choice)
Gold bead (6mm)
Pearl bead (6mm)
Pear bead (8mm)
Solo tape & White gum
Lighter
Step 1; I took two long yarn and applied gum at the tip to make it easier for the thread to pass through the bead.
Then I took 1 gold bead (6mm) + 1 pearl bead (8mm) +1pearl bead (6mm) +1 gold bead (6mm) then secure both with knots.
Step 2; I placed it on a surface and held it with Solo tape at the both side to make it tight . then I took 4 strands of yarn and put it through the other side of the yarn and secure some knots.
Step 3; I took the left side of the yarn and interweaved it with the right through the two strands of the long yarn which I held with solotape and then adjust it to make it tight . After I interweaved with the left through the two strands long yarn which I held with solo tape.
Step 4; After that I repeated the previous steps till I got the desire length and secured some knots and burn the extra thread and left the other two strands. I turned the other side of the band and repeated the process. After that I took the two sides of the band and cross them by holding them with solo tape at the both side to hold it tight on the surface as I did before.
After that I I took 4 strands of long thread and attach it at the space remaining and secured few knots and started the interweaving process . After I have gotten the lenght I want and secured few knots and cut off the extra thread and burn it.
Step 5; I added 2 pearl beads (6mm) at the end of both threads and secured few knots and burn it. Here is the beautiful friendship band. my daughter likes it a lot .
