My customer requested I should make a beaded earrings and I decided to make this cubic pillar earrings for her in black and golden combination. I thought of making white and golden for myself.
Let me kindly show you how I made this beautiful unique set of earrings.
Materials needed;
Black seed beed (3mm)
White seed beads (2mm)
Golden seed beads (2mm)
Beading thread( 0.25mm)
Beading needle size. 11
**A pair of earrings hook **
Jump rings
Scissors and plier
The Process
Step 1
I started by taking 180cm long thread and picked 8 black beads and passed the needle through all the 8 beads and went through the last bead and pulled the thread leaving 15cm thread.
Step 2
Thereafter I picked Picked 1 black and went through 2 previous beads and added 1 black bead and went through 2 black beads , I repeated this process till I went round the bead. This was was to enable me get the square shape.
Then I picked 1black bead and went through 3 black beads from the square to form the corner. I added 1 black at the corner of the first row to start the second row.
Then I passed through the just added 1 black bead and passed through 2 black beads from the first row. Afterwards I went through the just added 2 black beads.
Step3
At this point, I have to pick one black bead and went through 1 black bead from the corner of the first row and went through the just added 1 black bead. Then I picked up 2 black beads and passed through the 2 black beads from the first row and went again through the just added black beads. I repeated the same steps making sure I kept the new row above the old one in cubic form till I finished the second row to end it , I went through 3 black beads and pulled the thread and went through 2 black beads in every side leaving the corners except the last corner which I went through . I continue this process till I got 3 rows of black, 2 rows of gold and 5row of black making it 10 altogether.
For the white and gold combination I made them in the same process with the black .The difference is the number of rows. The white beads are 4 rows, the golden beads are 2 rows and the final 7 rows of white beads making it 13 rows altogether.
Note; I used the tail thread to strengthen the earrings.
Then I attached the earring hooks and jump rings to the bridged of beads I made for it..
