La llegada de la impostora / The arrival of the impostor
Everything was rosy until Strella appeared. She claimed to be the lost daughter. In the blink of an eye, my master bedroom became hers, and I was banished to the cold, dusty attic. "It's what you deserve for taking my place," she whispered in my ear before faking an attack and blaming me in front of my brothers. The love they had for me evaporated, replaced by doubt and contempt.
My only comfort was Lucy, a kitten my brothers gave me. But Strella had no limits. One day, Lucy appeared bloody in the yard. "It was a stray dog," they said. But I knew evil lived under our roof. My brothers forgot my 18th birthday, celebrating my parents' anniversary instead. That's when I made my decision: if I was a "nuisance," I would leave, but not before giving them the greatest gift.
