I agree with your father, Lake Louise is astonishing any time of year, I can't get enough of it but there is so much around it that is as worthy. I like to keep track of all the changes in the mountains over my lifetime. Maybe someday my observations can become useful to someone for research or something. Our growing season is very short with long winters everything takes longer to grow the higher up in altitude. The average pine forest life cycle here is around 70-90 years but with fire suppression measures, some of the forests in the national parks have grown over 200 years old.
