Thanks! It's terrible how they were so carelessly hunted to near extinction around the world, they are such a beautiful animal. Glad to hear you have conservation efforts in Czech Republic for what is left, hopefully in time it can be another bison success story. Apparently they are a direct descendant to a prehistoric bison that may have come from Siberia and made it to Canada via crossing the ice and land bridge. From the name of your natural preserve, I wonder if they were shipped from this park, they do a lot of breeding to re-establish bison herds all over. You should go visit one day in case they ever disappear, they are so majestic and powerful to be around (and a little scary).
