Hello, Hive community! Today I want to share with you another medicinal plant that grows in the small yard of my home: mint (Mentha). This plant holds special value for me, as it was planted by my mother, who is no longer with us. My mother loved plants, and I inherited my love for nature from her. I have several plants at home that she planted, and I care for them all with great love. A few days ago, I pruned the mint; thanks to the welcome recent rains and my own care, it is growing strong and healthy. My neighbors often ask for some sprigs to make infusions—primarily to soothe stomach ailments—as mint is excellent for aiding digestion. My family and I enjoy drinking it as a tea; it’s a perfect substitute when we’re out of coffee. I like to add a small piece of cinnamon, which makes it taste delicious and gives it an aroma that is truly delightful. Preserving this plant—which my mother planted—is more than just a gardening task; it is a way to keep her present in my daily life, feeling her love in every new shoot and sharing health with those around me.
