We entered the river via the ICW (Inter-Coastal Waterway). Next “port” Marineland, FL. Claim to fame, WORLD’s first oceanarium! How awesome! Unfortunately this was the stopping point and the boat would be docked for many weeks. Sadly, no time to visit the “attractions”. However we did get to walk around the Whitney Marine Lab area.

Eighteen miles so of St. Augustine is the marina. It was awesome, fairly new, with expansion underway, and quite inexpensive. We ate on the boat for a lot of our meals. We did take a dinghy ride south, to Captains' BBQ for lunch one day and drove north to Viola's for dinner the last night.
They offer a small dock for your dinghy ;) or boat!
