I am at the tar museum, located between the Rhodope villages of Borino and Chala.
Here, there is a full-scale tar pit dug into the ground, with a sculpture of a tar maker situated next to it. There is also an information board illustrating the tar production process.
Tar is used in human and veterinary medicine, as well as in cosmetics.
