The Physical, The Spiritual, The Mental, The Emotional

So how can we enhance each of our dimensions... well it is not easy, but if you make them part of your day to day processes, it become more natural and easy. It is simply resolve that is needed, or as Nike states "Just Do It".

The Four Dimensions

The Physical - Of course this means regular care and maintenance for our physical body, by eating the correct foods for our hormonal body types, getting enough sleep (add relaxation periods away from stresses as well) and exercising on a regular basis (daily is better). To accomplish a daily regime of exercise, you need one that can be done at home so whether, time, expense is never an issue. It needs to build your body in three key areas; flexibility, strength and endurance. My personal choice are; Ba Duan Jin for flexibility, Sanchin for strength and Kata for endurance... but you will need to create your own.

The Spiritual - Is our core, our soul and our commitment to our values. There are as many ways to accomplish this as there are individuals... maybe it is meditation, prayer, communing with nature, helping people and so many other options that make you and others feel good as well as strong in faith of life (and whatever that entails for you).

The Mental - Being a lifelong learner to challenge and keep the mind involved, interacting and responsive to your environment. Reading, Writing, Planning, Organizing, Interacting... Hey isn't that Steemit?

The Emotional Based on your principles of interpersonal relations, leadership, communication (empathetic), this is as much social as emotional as the two are so closely entwined. Let's face it, our emotional life is mostly, yet not exclusively, created in our relationships with others. Success in this dimension is directly related to a sense of personal security with our friends and families.

Development requires habits

  • Begin with the goals in mind: Setting long-term goals helps to document your perception of your ultimate vision for your life, by using visualisation as a vital tool to develop this. If you do not know where you are going, how will you know if you ever get there... there needs to be a measure for success.

  • First things first: Create a framework for prioritising your work of the longer term goals in place of short term satisfaction or steps. Time management for results or achievements, set in advance, will increase your margin for success and satisfaction.

  • Always be proactive: Take personal responsibility for every aspect of your life by initiating action toward the goals you have created and visualized. We are unique as humans and what separates us from animals, is that we have the ability to detach and observe ourselves in thought and action. This gives us the power to clear obstacles and difficulties and not be sidetracked by challenging circumstances.

  • Synergy: Always seek to develop a way of working with other people or skills as you embrace innovation and change in the satisfaction of your goals. Synergy is a powerful tool if made a habit, it will not only multiply your efforts, it will help others along in theirs... a major support and satisfaction boost on the emotional level.

  • Sharpen your compassion: Always seek to both understand others as well as be understood by others... this can be accomplished by empathy and compassion for others peoples goals, while strongly maintaining your own. Stay strongly focused upon your own goals so that those of others does not change your intended path.

  • Positivity: This is an attitude you must develop, as it will result in mutually beneficial solutions for more people on your journey and which always feeds back in like.

Investment

Always seek to maintain, strengthen and renew your four dimensions of; physical, spiritual, mental and emotional soundness. This is by far the most powerful investment we can make in our lives. Our intrinsic or personal security and satisfaction (therefore happiness) comes from within ourselves and our principles. It stems from living our lives with integrity as our daily habits reflect and fortify our deepest values. It can be derived from our interdependent volley with others by being authentic, creatively, cooperative and interactive with those around us as we diligently forge ahead to our goal.

Self-renewal also require us to make amends with past issues and conflicts, be it with parents, children, siblings and people around us. This helps us balance the imbalance that was so we can continue on our journey without excess weight holding us back.

Invest in the process, which empowers you to move on an upward path of growth, change and continuous improvement with focused concentration, balance and discipline.
