Today went well in general.
Got school-work done, got some writing done, got a rather impressive amount of steps. I’m working on generally just being more proactive about things as well.
Been reading more Neumann. It’s not easy going; normally I can get through a good chunk of text very quickly, but I find myself rather frequently having to go back and double-check. It’s not quite as bad as the first time I read Jung or anything like that, but it is something that is requiring more effort than just simply starting to read and moving through the text.
On the other hand, I feel like I learn a lot more from the works of people like Jung and Neumann than I learn from almost anything else I’ve ever read, even really good nonfiction. It’s heavy stuff, but it’s tremendous how they manage to move from concept to concept and idea to idea without repetition but still maintaining a really clear chain of cohesion between concepts.
I guess that’s something to aspire to as a writer: only say things once, but never skip a thing.
