"Rainbows are formed due to refraction of sunlight by water droplets in the atmosphere. When the sun rays through the water droplets, the light is bent in such a way as to make the colors present in the light separate. Each color is deflected at different angles, and red is the most recently bent color, while purple is the very first. This phenomenon which we see as a rainbow."
