The Real Illuminati

You hear it mentioned alongside all the various conspiracy theories, with their widely varying degrees of irrationality - the ominous, the incredibly powerful and dangerous, Illuminati! Well I am here to tell you that it does not exist but that it should, and it should exist right here, on STEEMIT.

Gasps ..

The thing that most conspiracy theorists lack is historical perspective, and in the worst cases, lack of any formal education - this leads them to see patterns in entirely unrelated bits of information due to an absence of fundamental capability - knowledge of the past and the ability to apply logic in weighing the validity of anything - some exposure to advanced mathematics would help, or the study of argumentation as a discipline. The extreme degree of distrust and paranoia exhibited by many of these folks, leaves them completely unable to reach valid conclusions because the only "evidence" that they will accept is that which confirms their very biased perspectives - fantasy-based self-reinforcement provides what they truly seek them - a sense of superiority and confidence, that they are among a very few that have a clue, and everyone else are asleep, are zombies, or are the enemy!

The Enemy?

"The Illuminati" did exist, founded in Bavaria in 1776, but which under pressure from the Catholic Church, was outlawed by Charles Theodore, along with many other "secret societies", between 1784 - 1790. Those who 'actually' controlled the state and populace did not want competition from influential, potentially opposing groups, and over the years these outlawed groups were blamed for many things, including the French Revolution.

The thing about the 'real' Illuminati, it was nothing at all like the fictional creation we hear of today. The New World Order conspiracy theory, which takes many forms, was convinced that Obama was going to take away all the guns so that the United Nations, of all organizations, could "invade" as part of a world-wide move toward some kind of martial law-based enslavement of the common people and behind this was this faceless organization consisting of people like George Soros, The Rothschilds, Forbes, whoever the theorists wanted to throw into the mix.

The cause of this "misunderstanding" is a massive disparity in influence and financial power, between average people playing a losing game (loss of mass employing industry, increasingly part-time services-based employment with static wages, declining purchasing power and no benefits), as compared to the investor-class which has been making out literally like bandits since Ronald Reagan in 1980, and which was accelerated by globalization under the Clinton Administration - this group was enriched and there was very little trickle-down to the average citizen - but there was less expensive dish towels available at Walmart and the Dollar Store.

It is true however that this class of people do not seem to give a damn about you and yours, or even the fate of the planet, they simply worship at the altar of The Market, and that The Market will find a way .. whatever way is found, will be correct, because it was Market-driven! :) .. This shared philosophy does not however mean they belong to the same club, and they want to make you a slave!

The mistrust and even hatred caused by this eroding of the "American Dream", is entirely understandable, entirely justified, but it is expressed in very strange ways. There is no way for the most heavily impacted to speak of unionization, because they have been indoctrinated so heavily against anything that could be described as "leftist", so instead we have an growing anti-government sentiment, a growing anti-elitist reactionary effect .. which is hopeful to a degree, but simultaneously there is a very widespread alternative movement, which believes that 'everything' is a lie, and that 'the people' are being actively aggressed against by very dark forces - some believing there is a group of Washington insiders who indulge in the rape and killing of children, on a relatively large scale.

Come Back to Reality & Fight Effectively ..

Some folks have invested so much time in something that so many others have as well, that it becomes a kind of tradition .. and the group really believes they are on to something, and they can really come up with some amazing stuff, but when faced with the cold hard truth ... well, it looks a little something like this ...

It May Not Exist, But it Should ..

I believe that STEEMIANS should become the new Illuminati, based on the principles of the original, the real Illuminati of Bavaria. What were the goals of that original group?

  • Oppose superstition
  • Oppose Obscurantism (disinformation and purposefully distractive bullshit)
  • Oppose Religious influence over public life (maintain separation of church and state)
  • Oppose abuses of state power

STEEMINATI is BORN!

It is time to challenge the irrational, to drive out the purposefully disruptive, to work on issues that are real toward real solutions. Conspiracy theorists making completely vacuous claims, ones that can never be proven correct or not, are simply making useless noise - my favorite example is the Nazi Moonbase where Lizard-like Aliens assisted yes, "The Nazis" in escaping Earth at the end of World War II ... sounds like psychedelic comedy right? Well, if it were it would be funny .. but what it is, is a human mind being wasted trying to waste other human minds, meanwhile the world goes to hell in a hand basket .. I for one can not stomach that.

Cheers! Peace! Viva la Revolutione! Alrighty Then .. wooo
