Life is short,
like the winners of the lottery's fame,
it only last for a while
Life lasts long enough to evoke feelings,
spectacular feelings such as;
love, happiness, gratitude, peace, appreciation, belonging...
or emotional responses that leave a less than pleasant taste in ones mouth;
pain, sorrow, longing, hurt, disappointment, betrayal, anger, fear...
Life and lived events bombards humanity on a daily basis,
Life demands coping mechanisms,
life demands functionality and adaptability,
it expects excellence and achievement
Life's demands, rapidly changing, surprises humanity with silent killers;
patiently waiting around every corner, like a spider awaiting its prey...
We give these killers names (making them as common as our household pets)
we name them
STRESS, ANXIETY, TRAUMA, BURNOUT, EXHAUSTING and DEPRESSION,
to name a few.
Then we proceed to treat them with medication, substances, humor or your very own detachment mechanism...
Consider treatment for a moment,
treatment of social and societal born-embodied illness...
treatment of a non-functional coping mechanism,
treatment of survival...
TREATMENT....
What then of self-care
Perhaps, just consider it that
self-care is equivalent to health-care
You are in charge of your health,
your wealth... both emotional and Physical

"Be who you are
and say what you feel
BECAUSE
those who mind don't matter
and those who matter
DON'T mind" -Dr Seuss
