Greetings,
Through this article I want to introduce you to the Apollochain project
Apollochain is a start-up, which introduces the advantages of blocking technology to the area that needs it especially, namely, to the energy sector. In an effort to join the global trend towards the use of renewable energy sources, Apollochain presents a business model in which energy consumers gain access to an energy ecosystem built on the basis of blocking technology, where they can choose the electricity supplier directly, without intermediaries.
The three-tiered ecosystem includes the use of smart contracts for direct interaction among participants. This allows to prevent centralization of power in the hands of any individual participants, which in turn leads to more efficient and inexpensive transportation of energy capacities for all parties involved. Suppliers receive savings at financial costs, and consumers lower prices for products. The decentralized power system solves the problem of power loss when it is transmitted over long distances, and also quickly eliminates possible power outages.
and to save the family budget. In addition to all, having now the opportunity to choose the preferred source of electricity, most consumers, of course, will choose more environmentally friendly sources. And this is an indispensable incentive to move away from traditional energy sources based primarily on coal combustion.
The team launches a public sale of tokens in July 2018. For early investors, the pre-sale phase will be opened, at which 3,300,000 project tokens (APL) will be available. The pre-sale ends on June 15, 2018. At this stage, participants can get a 40 percent discount by purchasing tokens at a price of 33,000 APL per 1 BTC or 2300 APL per 1 ETH. Since the industrial revolution in the energy industry, little has changed. Coal, oil, natural gas and other combustible materials are often processed and burned near the source of their extraction. Over time, there were more and more power grid companies that sold energy to consumers. One of the reasons for this was that the world's population was expanding and energy sources, respectively, were moving away from populated areas.
This approach has many problems, even without taking into account the use of fossil fuels, and is currently undergoing major changes. Renewable sources of energy, such as solar, wind and others, are increasingly being used in the process of generating energy reserves. According to the report of KPMG (one of the world's largest audit agencies) on global trends in renewable energy, investments in this sector of the economy, as well as the indicator of energy consumption, have increased by 20% over the last decade.
Another study shows that such generation sources are becoming more widely available, which allows consumers to exclude transport costs from their financial indicators for energy transfer over long distances. This also opens the way for consumers to acquire energy directly, bypassing intermediaries and agents (in countries with an unregulated energy sector, such as Australia or the US). Deregulation plays a key role, since it allows customers to choose from whom to purchase energy resources.
The Apollochain team boldly looks to the future when renewable energy traded in deregulated markets becomes the only source of electricity and, to realize this goal, develops and promotes its platform so that any customer can take advantage of its advantages.
According to the concept of the project, in order to achieve these goals, two tasks are needed:
Reduce costs for those who generate electricity
Reduce the price of electricity for the consumer
The vision of the creators of Apollochain is to enable people to play a role in all aspects of electricity production and consumption. This is a new smart ecosystem based on blockade technology, which will, among other things, minimize power losses when transmitting it over long distances, increase the efficiency of energy distribution and provide users with uninterrupted power supply. Ultimately, all these aspects will lead to a change in the trend towards the use of traditional energy sources and will push the entire energy sector of the economy to transition to renewable resources.
How does Apollochain work?
Apollochain creates an open source block-based platform based on the existing Fiber platform developed by the Skycoin project. Blocker Skycoin is not public, so the developers of Apollochain took it as a basis and modified to their concept, making the code open. According to the development team, the integration of a platform for electricity trading and blocking technology creates the perfect combination in terms of the effectiveness and confidentiality of user data.
"As an innovative tool, blocking technology is best suited for electricity trading on a deregulated energy market"
In the future, users of the system will receive the status of sellers and buyers and they will need some way to simplify and organize interaction with the market as a whole. The Apollochain platform will solve this problem by providing three levels of interaction:
The first level is created for interaction between various trading platforms and buyers / sellers of electricity. This level is designed to provide convenient, understandable and secure transactions. All user actions occur only within this level. Then, everything that relates to the transaction data is passed to the "advanced" second level.
The second level is responsible for the execution of smart contracts. Smart contracts carry out arbitration, exchange and distribution of relevant resources and tokens between the participants. In the end, the data processed with the help of a smart contract falls into the block (the third level).
The third level, in fact, the database blockade. The data that gets to this level takes the final value, is written into a chain of blocks and can not be changed any more.
Apollochain aims to be part of the decentralized electricity markets around the world and seeks to attract some of the key players in the energy field to its platform. Among them will be manufacturers, wholesalers and consumers of electricity. According to the team's plans, such large players will have a positive impact on reducing high trading costs, by using modern technologies such as the Internet of things, artificial intelligence and blockage. The combination of all these technologies Apollochain called as "energy Internet" of the future.
The creation of an intellectual network of this kind allows buyers to play an active role in all processes of the ecosystem. The ecosystem will be formed from the interaction of the platform with centralized energy networks, as well as by creating small subnets. This brings us to another key function:
Smart counters
So the processes in the ecosystem look schematic:
Another advantage of smart counters is that all information about purchases and sales passes directly through them, and only then they transfer data to the block to write them. In this chain, smart meters act as a guarantee that the user data will not be compromised, stolen or lost.
Such devices make sense to use it in the decentered ecosystem, because otherwise they are at high risk of hacking or manipulation. In the event that the device is attacked in a centralized network - this can lead to economic or production consequences, but using smart meters in the Apollochain ecosystem significantly reduces these risks.
As indicated in the project description:
"Apollochain is not exposed to risks of this kind, and minimal losses are provided by distributing the accounting of instrument readings to all network participants"
The project team is also working on the creation of a Smart Energy Storage System (SESS) and the development of a mobile application.
SESS underlies the process that gives the ecosystem the ability to generate and store electricity. In addition to its primary storage task, SESS can communicate with all objects of the ecosystem, thereby creating another additional level of data protection.
The Apollochain application will become a portal through which end users will interact with smart counters, SESS and Apollo blockbuster.
Here are some sample application interface examples:
Trade in energy resources
Media sources actively sanctified the situation when it became possible in Australia to buy and sell electricity on a deregulated market. The society began to wonder how this is arranged. But at the moment there is no clear algorithm for how these processes are arranged, and they can be studied only by the example of small ecosystems (for example, a small settlement from houses on wheels).
Currently, Australia has more than 2 million homes with solar panels. That is, the technology for collecting and distributing energy has been studied and applied in real life. But, if, to improve the technology of storing the produced electricity, then soon such houses could use the received energy not only in their own needs, but also distribute it for others. This idea is promising and relevant, but for the time being there are no grounds for its implementation. Thanks to the agreements on retail energy, private individuals can become suppliers of electricity to the general public and thus have the opportunity to receive remuneration for their services.
Using the Apollochain platform, this concept has been developed. The possibility of creating power stations from scratch was realized through the collection of funds for further joint use. In the future, participants profit from the results of its functioning. Also within the ecosystem are peer-to-peer P2P transactions and load distribution to the network among all users.
All this functionality works thanks to blocking technology, which helps to avoid monopolization of the energy market and allows suppliers to analyze the demand for products, collect statistics among customers and check the reliability of counterparties. In addition, the use of the internal APL crypto currency enables fast and easy payment from customers.
What is the value of Apollochain?
Today, many blockbuster start-ups are trying to come up with a problem, then to seek its solution, while concocting how to put all this on the rails of the blockade. In the case of the Apollochain project, developers are aware of the existence of a real problem and they have a worthy decision, for the implementation of which they are willing to spend their energy. The team looks at the problems that arise in the process of work and promptly suggests their solution.
th energy - from investment in production, to transportation, trade and consumption, allowing you to get your share of profits from the developing industry.
Some other advantages mentioned in the project description:
Users can set up an automatic payment system.
Users can participate in collective generation of capacities and receive income from this.

For all those who do not share the Apollochain vision there are many aspects that prove the effectiveness of the created ecosystem. The technology of the blockade is ideal for carrying out any peer-to-peer payments, and the electricity trade, in fact, is no different. Thanks to this technology, the platform offers fast payment execution and secure data operations. The project team is confident that the world needs the best energy systems, and this is one of the reasons why it is worth taking part in the project Apollochain.
