For sending, receiving and spending bitcoins you need to have them in preferable in a secure private wallet.
Each wallet provides the send and receive functionality. For receiving you would need to share your wallet address with the sender.
For sending you would need to scan the address ( QR code) of the receiver or copy paste the wallet address of the receiver.
