RE: Solar powered EV Stats Summary - Finally
I'm one of those that hates the gas engine complexities. lol, too many nightmares from fixing mini-bikes and go-karts as a kid that never went well. My step son is a muscle car builder and love his gas

Yes, and there are cheaper ones to be sure. I think the target market right now is more focused on the luxury side at least here in the U.S. It wasn't so bad with the $7K tax incentives the last few years,

Almost there with some of the new charging highways and roads to charge while driving, also I'm sure future window and roof coatings will produce some solar as well.

RE: Solar powered EV Stats Summary - Finally
It depends on driving habits for sure. I would not be as big a proponent if I had to stop and charge on the road everyday. I'm loving the vehicle and also like the looks much better than the Fugly Tesla's.

RE: Solar Power Report: January 2026
Evolution is right. It's coming and time for us to evolve out of the fossil fuel use for power. There are other uses for fossil fuels that should be extended, but renewable sources for power are definitely

RE: Damage from the cold in Florida
Not too bad just a bit farther north where we are. Just outside the main tourist loops, although we sometimes see the build up around the main intersections and highways. We tend to stay on the back roads

RE: Unpopular Opinion...
Ahh, I see this as the prime time to buy more, not pull out. I didn't think we would see this low again last time I bought. The way I see for me is to buy low and pull out or sell high, then it's not quite

Tks, finished fixing the broken well pump connection and 2 busted sprinkler head connections. Seem to be up and running again now, and just in time to start watering a bit. So funny here, many of the trees

Like you, I've been here a while now (almost 9 years, holy cow). I've seen the topic rise and fall many times. There have even been multiple engagement building initiatives over the years. I think everyone

RE: Damage from the cold in Florida
Well it feels cold to us now that we are starting to acclimate to the normally warmer weather. What used to be shorts and tshirt temps are now jacket and sockhat weather, lol.

RE: Damage from the cold in Florida
We enjoyed snuggling by the fire, a great reminder of how often we used it up North, but definitely ready to be done and back to warm weather. There's a new surfboard just itching to get out! And thanks,

Yes, we had lots of Apple trees in Vermont as cold as it got up there they did fine. Looking more for the sub-tropical stuff now though :)

RE: Damage from the cold in Florida
Yes, I think the roots survived given we only had 2 of those cold nights. We'll see by next month if it starts growing back or dies from the trimming.

I would love some banana trees or other edible fruit besides the lemon tree we have. Maybe later this year.

It was definitely sad to see them keel over. Yes Florida covers a lot of area North to South. We're about in the middle, so still get some cold weather for a few days, but not snow. It's really kind of

RE: Damage from the cold in Florida
Well as you can see, there's no bringing those big boys in for the winter. A couple of the neighbors remember them taking a hit like that before and coming back, but wasn't quite as cold as it was this

I'm hopeful that they will survive and recover. From what I'm reading online, wisdom says to leave them be for a few more weeks, water to help recovery, and then trim back the dead parts in early March.

RE: My annual Solar Stats report
We got down into the mid-20s last two nights. A few of our plants took pretty hard hits. We'll find out soon if they'll come back I suppose.
