Yes, and there are cheaper ones to be sure. I think the target market right now is more focused on the luxury side at least here in the U.S.
It wasn't so bad with the $7K tax incentives the last few years, but even without it, the cost to buy the nicer EV was cheaper than buying gas for my Subaru.
