Evolution is right. It's coming and time for us to evolve out of the fossil fuel use for power. There are other uses for fossil fuels that should be extended, but renewable sources for power are definitely the wave of the future. The only reason it hasn't taken off yet is because of scale. It's harder for big industry to monopolize it, and it's better designed for multiple user level deployments vs. the single big monopoly power source model.
