Mia is the second of three children - she has an older sister and a younger brother. In 1998, when she was 8 years old, Wasikowska and her family lived in Szczecin for almost a year. From time to time the actress visits Poland. In his spare time, he is an avid photographer.
Wasikowska studied ballet from the age of 9 to 15. During the two years of this period, training sessions lasted 35 hours a week. However, at the age of 14, she turned her back on ballet. She said, "There was too much focus on achieving physical perfection, after which my attitude became negative - your self-esteem could just collapse in this situation."
She became popular thanks to her role as Sophie in the American television series Therapy. After him, she made an attempt to act in films from abroad. A series of supporting roles led her to appear in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (the title role) and Cary Fukunaga's adaptation of Jane Eyre.
