Four days ago, @hivebuzz gave me a personal badge congratulating me on my third birthday/anniversary on Hive. But, since I was really sick at that time, I wasn’t strong enough to write a post. Yea, this illness also explains my absence and less involvement or engagement on Hive for a week and more.
Well, at this point, I am not strong enough to push a cow, but I know I can finish a bowl of Chicken and Chips (my Doctor said I need it to recover fully... sobs).
In all honesty, my journey on Hive has been quite eventful, exciting, exhilarating, enthralling, and… ermmm, I tend to run out of adjectives each time I try to quantify this unexplainable journey. Yet, I am grateful for every experience gained, every person I’ve met on this voyage, every friend I’ve made, every knowledge I’ve gained, every one who’ve influenced me, and every opportunity I’ve gotten to perform an act of service for the community.
I say a big THANK YOU to all who’ve contributed to this!
It’s been Three years of Three A’s, all of which play vital roles to make this CELEBRATION worthwhile. Oh, I mentioned “celebration” ... well, I have neither cakes nor drinks to share with you all as I am still in the sick-mood and not celebration mood, so please bear with me.
However, I think it is apt, at this juncture, to say few things about my adventures, achievements and aspirations on Hive.
My adventure on Hive started off in a very unique way, in what I call: My Triad Hive Beginnings, which began with the “Olodo” (no-knowledge) stage, through the "Ready to explore stage" and ended with the “Enlightenment” stage. But the truth is that I still call myself a beginner, or an advanced novice, owing to the wealth of knowledge available on Hive in comparison with my limited knowledge. Yet, this limitation does not hinder me from experiencing this wonderful and enthralling adventures on Hive.
I’ve explored various communities, niches, activities and initiatives on Hive. I’ve been motivated to perform vocal renditions, make creative drawings, write fictional stories, non-fictional creative writings, research writings and many more. Oh, that reminds me, I’ve also made a food blog at some point.
My first attempt at using Krita software to draw
I started up the Afri-tunes project, built the Community with great minds and we’ve continued to support it till this day, and beyond. I also remember starting the Hive Contest Compiler initiative at some point. The initiative was really helpful in bringing together over 60 - 80 different contests on various Hive Communities every week. But it was so stressful since the compilation was done manually by a single soul (lol) meeee (lol).
The highpoint of this adventure on Hive was the Leofinance Thread Adoption Campaign organized via Zealy. It was 40 days of full adrenaline pumping quests, fun, and we all contributed massively towards the growth and stability of the New Leofinance User Interface.
In as much as I haven’t gotten to the point I wish to be on Hive, I am grateful for the little I have achieved at this present day.
One of my major achievements on Hive is the Successful Completion of the Afri-tunes First Year Anniversary Event. The idea came like a dream, but we were able to make that dream a reality, and we ensured that Afri-tunes didn’t remain just an idea or an online activity, but also a physical activity that unites us.
Another great achievement for me is the opportunity of service I’ve rendered and still render to different Hive Communities/projects and in different capacity(-ies).
Finally, getting to the Cub rank in the Leoverse is also something great for me; that is, having 5,000 staked Leo Power. This is also accompanied by the 2,000+ Hive Power I have at the moment. Although, they might not be pretty much, but I know that I have tried my best. However, I look forward to more growth, progress and increase.
I don’t think I am in the right frame of mind to make some statements determining my aspirations, so that I don’t come back next two weeks to say that I was under the influence of fever, or Malaria when I said such.
Well, I think this will enable me to go back to the source and look into what I’ve always longed for in life, so that I’ll have no excuse.
Hence, what I’ve always longed for, wished for or aspire for: Is to Make Positive Impact in people’s lives.
Thus, my aspirations or dreams on Hive will not be centered on the Hive or HBD I have in my savings, nor the HP I control nor how to become a whale in 5 days... Neither is it about the value of the second layer tokens I have in my wallet, nor the connections I’ve made for my own self (if any)...
rather
it will be about how to make Positive Impact in people’s lives, and this I’ll strive to do the little way I can. So, help me God!
Happy New Month Everyone!
