Threads is for Hive – Threads Adoption Campaign is for all Hivers
HIVE IS FOR BUILDING!
Hive is an amazing blockchain for so many reasons. One of such reasons is that it is highly decentralized, whereby decisions pertaining to the governance of the blockchain isn’t made by a single entity, but by the community. Yes, Hive is community-driven!
Similarly, Hive is fast and highly scalable, which makes it capable of handling large number of transactions with no transaction fees. These advantages, among many others, make Hive a desirable and viable place for “building.”
Yes! Building!
The communities, groups and various individuals on Hive are actively building great projects, dApps, Games, Smart Contracts and many others that will aid in adding more use cases to Hive, and spreading the word of Hive to the public for Mass adoption.
THREADS IS BUILT FOR HIVE
One of such great projects on Hive that is being built by a competent and reliable team is Threads by the Leofinance Community.
Threads is a Microblogging platform on Hive where you can share your ideas, opinions, images, videos, gifs, memes, links to posts or news, polls and whatever you want! It has a space for only 240 characters, so you can keep it simple and short, and thread as many times as you want!
It is also akin to Elon Musk’s Everything App, and, in fact, it has more than what Twitter or Elon’s Everything App can offer owing to the fact that it is built on a decentralized ecosystem where you have 100% ownership of your data and account.
In all honesty, Microblogging via Twitter has been a great plus to the social media space with millions of active users in a day. This, indeed, is what Threads hopes to tap from since it promises to provide more than what Twitter offers. Hence, when Threads gets mass adoption, Hive gets mass adoption – massive plus to the entire Hive Community.
THREADS: UNIFYING HIVE COMMUNITIES
At this present moment, Threads has been of great assistance in unifying various communities, projects and individuals on Hive. The discussions and interactions going on in threads cuts across communities, niches and various subject matters. Also, the integration of different communities of Hive in threads goes further to strengthen the ties and assertion that Threads has become a point of contact for various (if not all) communities on Hive.
The introduction of Author of the Week project has been a plus to Hive as it seeks to reward and encourage amazing authors in different communities on Hive and across various niches; it also assists all participating communities in granting them exposure to other involved communities as well as aid them to reward themselves and the chosen author of the week; it also strengthens the decentralized notion on Hive as every individual have a say by voting who becomes the top author; and helps to promote Hive to Web 2 platforms.
This week we had over 500 votes on the different community polls, and I believe I am safe to say over 100 persons voted in the poll. In other words, Hivers came to the poll in Threads to vote for who becomes the top author, lion, artist, bird, skater, gardener or lady of the week, among others.
IT’S TIME TO SPREAD THREADS – TO SPREAD HIVE: JOIN THE ADOPTION CAMPAIGN
Yes, Threads is for everyone of us on Hive, no matter our niche and the community we belong to. When we treat threads like ours, it becomes our projects. And since Hive is Community-driven, when the entire Hive Community sees threads as a community project, then it becomes the duty of the Hive Community to spread the word of Threads, because mass adoption of Threads will translate to mass adoption of Hive.
ADOPTION OF THREADS
On February 13 2023, the New Leofinance User Interface (UI) was launched in its alpha mode, and threads stood at the center or home of the new UI. Since this time, the Hive community has been interacting with threads in its alpha mode, tracking its progress and making recommendations for better features and updates.
However, on May 1st there will no longer be alpha mode, as the present User Interface at leofinance.io, will be completely changed to what we have in alpha.leofinance.io. In other words, this is the final and complete overhaul of Threads.
THE ADOPTION CAMPAIGN - 10,000 USD to be won!
From 4th August 2022 (when Threads became public), to 13th February (when the New UI was opened in its alpha mode) and till this present moment, the Leofinance team has continued to develop the new UI to make sure they develop a working, efficient and presentable "product to market Hive to the world."
Hence, since the "product" is ready, it is our duty as Hivers to assist the team in this mass campaign.
Fortunately, the Leofinance team has made this mass adoption sprint a fun, interesting and lucrative campaign for us, as participants.
The New UI will be publicly opened on 1st of May, but the adoption campaign will begin a day before the event, on April 30th (11 days from today).
Thus, from Sunday April 30th, the Adoption Campaign will kick off, and the race for the 10,000 USD Prize Pool will begin.
As participants, we only have to finish tasks, claim quests and build XP, as though it were a game.
