BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION 馃巶
Every Birthday celebration is a proof of God's Love towards us. In it we are called to reflect on our lives so far: what we have achieved; what we failed to achieve; our improvement thus far; our growth and our failures.
It calls for a retrospective journey; one which we must earnestly tell ourselves the truth, even though it might hurt.
When we keep on deceiving ourselves, we do not create room for growth. On the other hand, when we realise our weaknesses, our failures and shortcomings then we make room to work on those mistakes and move on the path of growth, success and progress.
This also helps us to be more conscious and aware of ourselves, our talents, gifts, strengths and weaknesses.
A NEW AGE
Every age comes with its unique challenges, responsibilities and privileges. The challenges are more than the privileges, except if "you were born with a silver spoon." Well, I wasn't; for me, I was born with either a wooden spoon, a rubber spoon or, in fact, spoonless. But with God and my lovely family, I've been able to achieve some great feats in life.
Since I was born 'close to three decades' ago, I've been in constant search for the essence of my existence on earth.
Although I believe that "essence precedes existence" because before we were formed in the womb, God already has a plan for us. However, our journey on earth is a journey to discover that plan, the "essence for living." For everyone, this is different and unique.
Have I discovered mine yet?
Well, self-discovery is a continuous journey, one that will end only at death.
I am not where I should be right now, I haven鈥檛 achieved what I earnestly desire, but I will never give up even though the road seems unclear and rough.
It's still a process; a journey - "A Voyage of discovery."
MY EXPECTATIONS TODAY
Hahahaha
Well, I am not expecting anything much, just the usual 12 hours sleep. But, I'll wake up 4 hours later (6:00am) to prepare for and attend Morning Mass. Its a good thing to begin the day with an act of Thanksgiving to God for this great day.
After that, it'll be a normal day, as usual.
I believe what is more important is that I thank God for the gift of Life to me.
Yea!
