Hurling It is a team sport of Celtic origin. It is regulated by the Gaelic Athletic Association. You play with sticks (hurl / camáin) with which you hit a ball (slither). This game is practiced mainly in Ireland and looks like football, which is played in Scotland. There is a female version called Camogie.
The All-Ireland Championship is the main competition of this sport, played by teams from the different counties of the Republic of Ireland and the counties of Northern Ireland, as well as a representative team from London (United Kingdom) and another from New York ( U.S). The championship final is played at the Croke Park stadium in Dublin, although in 2012 it was played in a traditional stadium in Tullamore. The current champion is the Limerick.
In 2018, UNESCO declared hurling as Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
