I can attest to all of those, and while researchers might "believe" it has some role in *thinking, language and mood, I can guarantee it does. But perhaps, it is only my brain that works this way.
I'd bet that this is due to connecting with neural pathways downstream.
I've had a bunch of concussions in my life. Brain damage is fun. My problems are typically centered around words. I'll just intermittently and randomly not remember very common words/names. It makes it hard to communicate at times. Just yesterday, I forgot the name of someone I talk to fairly frequently. I get more frustrated by trying to explain why I do this.
