So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “A NEW LANGUAGE”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “IS IT THAT BAD?”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us about their experiences with addictions. Doing or using things that are only harmful to them and don’t help them in any way. Yet, they just can’t stop using them. It could be simple things that don’t come with major consequences, or those that compound over time and are enough to destroy lives.

We got to see that indeed, everyone has tiny little sins that we’re not proud of, and we wish to stop. Yet, this is a bit difficult, but it’s also a reminder that we can always stop. We just have to be intentional about what we want and be willing to do what it takes to take care of ourselves properly. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w205e1 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.

AWARE BUT ADDICTED: THE BATTLE WITHIN US by bhattg@bhattg

This author told us that one of his biggest problems is his weakness for fast food. Despite the risks he poses to himself every time he eats them, he still can’t bring himself to stop. He agrees that breaking a bad habit requires actively working on it, because just the hope that things will get better with time will only serve to disappoint in the long run.

RIGHT TIME, RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT AMOUNT by terganftp@terganftp

*For this author, he told us that two of his personal vices that he was battling with were sugar and cola. And while it comes with a lot of side effects, he still keeps taking them, which is why he says that moderation will always be the best way to fight it. Because in the end, no matter how good it is, too much of everything will always end up being bad.”

LOVING WHAT SLOWLY BREAKS ME by van.illa@van.illa

For this author, she told us that she also has some bad habits that she would love to quit. Like staying up late in the night, especially being busy on her phone. Also, consuming snacks and excess noodles is bad for her, something she’s also looking to stop as well. These have been having negative effects on her health, and now, there’s a need to inculcate discipline and stop giving excuses.

All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (melinda010100@melinda010100) ] and 1 $PANDAMINER each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.

But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:

Honorable Mention

THE TRAP OF SELF-DESTRUCTION: A CONFESSION OF TOXIC HABITS by ladyaryastark@ladyaryastark

MY GUILTY PLEASURE: SOMETHING I KNOW IS BAD FOR ME by vickoly@vickoly

BREAKING MY OWN CHAINS by michupa@michupa

These are posts that were also found to be quite exceptional.

AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!

Week 205 - Edition 02 Topic

A NEW LANGUAGE

“In this day and age, with AI being so good at translating languages, is there a need to learn new languages as an individual? With software and technology, two people can speak different languages while understanding each other perfectly. Is this a bad trend? Or does this water down the beauty of the languages?”
