Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 164, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “HEALTHY TAX”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “NO MORE HOMEWORK”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on homework and their validity in the educational system of today. With the rate at which the world is growing, some methods of setting homework need to change, and it needs to be done with the well-being of the child in mind.
We got to see the different ideas of members as they were shared. Some believe that homework is very important in the academic journey of a child, and for others, they believe that there are so many things to be changed in this culture, but it doesn’t mean that it gets scrapped altogether. In the end, what matters the most is what is best for the child.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w164e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
Featured Contents
THE HOMEWORK DEBATE by @nkemakonam89
This author told us that with everything that students have to go through with when it comes to preparing for school and actually going to school, many teachers go too far when setting assignments and homework for them. Giving students voluminous homework will only end up stressing and burning them out.
THE HOMEWORK GRIND: WHY KIDS TODAY STILL NEED IT MORE THAN EVER by @idksamad78699
For this author, he told us about how as a child, he didn’t like homework at all because of everything that they put him through. However, growing up, he realized just how important it has been in shaping him into the man he is today. Homework is necessary because without it, kids would have so much free time on their hands, which they would put to things that are not so valuable.
HOMEWORK: SACRIFICE OR BENEFIT @michupa
For this author, he told us that giving homework to kids is a way for them to grow, especially how it will be a great way to get new information and learn new things. It will always have a major impact that will go on to reflect in their personal and professional lives. Homework should be a major part of every academic journey.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (

Week 164 - Edition 03 Topic
HEALTHY TAX
“Would it be better if the government decided to make things that prove to be unhealthy more expensive by imposing hefty taxes on them. Things like alcoholic drinks, cigarettes, sugar... Such things, when taken in excess, can prove to be dangerous. However, being expensive, many would not be so inclined to buy so many of them. Will this be a good move?”
